The stay was surprisingly nice despite the ongoing renovations. My room was clean and comfortable, and the staff really tried to make things work, especially with a stuck door. Great waffles for breakfast!

ideal base for weekend walks and city explorations
I loved how convenient it was to access attractions like the Newport Aquarium, which is just under 6 km away, and I found great walking paths at the Garden of Hope, only about 2.5 km from the hotel, making my city explorations so much easier and enjoyable. while the hotel had some cleanliness issues, it still provided a comfy bed for my two-night stay.

missingWrote a review on Sept 09great locationfriendly staffcomfortable roompoor breakfastlack of cleanlinessbroken air conditioner
The location near the Reds Stadium really stood out for me. It made getting to the game a breeze. The room size worked well for my family. We had a Queen Room with Two Queen Beds, Non-Smoking. The beds felt decent enough but could use a little more fluff. I liked that housekeepers were honest and returned a necklace I left behind. That gave me some comfort that things would be taken care of. Unfortunately, the breakfast options didn't impress. There were only waffles and some basic cereals. The milk wasn’t cold enough, and there seemed to be a shortage of fruit. I also noticed the air conditioner wasn't functioning as well as it should, making the room a bit uncomfortable. Additionally, some areas of the hotel felt run-down, like the hallway. A fresh coat of paint would go a long way. I think they could step things up in cleanliness too. I found some dirt in my room that should have been cleaned up. It's a shame because the staff tried their best. Overall, it felt like they’re making changes, but the place needs more attention to detail.

missingWrote a review on Jul 28friendly staffclean bathroomdirty roomlimited dining optionsbroken amenities
The check-in process stood out with an upbeat and friendly staff member, making for a warm welcome. However, the room was in dire need of attention. it was notably dirty with food stains on the walls and garbage on the floor. Limited restaurant options in the vicinity added to the inconvenience. A major concern was the absence of proper maintenance, as amenities like the ice machine were non-functional and the breakfast selection was minimal at best.

Great frontline staff, but not much else
The front desk crew was really nice and helpful, but wow, the rest was a letdown. The 1st room smelled awful like smoke, and A/C couldn’t handle it. Our new room was a lil' better but had details like a broken doorknob and only a few toiletries. Also, breakfast was super basic. The only upside? The comfy pub nearby.
